Palanca Lodge

The name “Palanca” is derived from the Portuguese name for the Giant Sable antelope, “Palanca Negra”.  Palanca Negra (Giant Sable antelope) is a large antelope specie native to Angola which is situated on the west coast of Southern Africa. The Antelope is regarded as one of the country’s national treasures. In African mythology, Palanca Negra symbolize Vivacity, Velocity, Beauty and Visual sharpness.

Situated 20 km outside Thabazimbi in South Africa's Limpopo Province, Palanca is set against the backdrop of the majestic Waterberg Mountain Range.
